Harris County Republican Party
About HCRP
The official Republican Party organization in the third-largest county in America.
Who We Are
The Harris County Republican Party is a volunteer organization and the official Republican Party organization in Harris County. HCRP is part of the Republican Party of Texas.
We are an inclusive and diverse group of dedicated volunteers who believe in the conservative values this country was founded upon. We love our country, believe in the Bill of Rights, support the U.S. Constitution, and stand for our flag.
Harris County is home to 4.5 million people across 1,778 square miles, larger than Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York City, and Seattle combined. It is the third-largest county in the country and the biggest battleground in Texas. That is the ground we organize, precinct by precinct.
Our Mission
What We Believe In
Freedom from an overreaching government
Unelected bureaucrats should not overregulate and dictate how we live. Prosperity comes through the free market and policies that encourage jobs, growth, and entrepreneurship.
Freedom from those who weaken our elections
Every American should have confidence in the integrity of our elections, and every vote cast should be cast by a citizen with the legal right to vote.
Freedom from crime
The rights of criminals do not trump the rights of law-abiding citizens. Families deserve to live and raise their children in neighborhoods free from crime.
Freedom from failing schools
Our children deserve an education that gives them the knowledge and skills for a successful life, and parents deserve the freedom to make the best academic choice for their children.
Freedom to live as we choose
We believe in limited government that serves and protects all Americans, and that it is not the purpose of government to dictate our religion, how we raise our children, or how we live.
Our Work
What HCRP Does
Winning Harris County is not a slogan, it is organizing work that happens every week of every year.
Recruit and support Republican candidates
From countywide offices to the courthouse, HCRP works to make sure Harris County voters have strong conservative choices on the ballot.
Organize precinct by precinct
More than 1,000 precincts, each one needing a Republican voice. Precinct chairs register voters, walk neighborhoods, and turn out the vote.
Staff and protect elections
HCRP recruits and trains election judges, alternate judges, and clerks, and works to keep Harris County elections fair, open, and transparent.
Train the grassroots
Trainings, conventions, and grassroots and Pachyderm club programs that turn willing neighbors into effective volunteers.
